<p>The thermometer case consists of an immersion tube and a fitting connected with it and provided with a window. An outer thread is provided below the junction between the immersion tube and the fitting, for the protective case fastening. The capillary is fastened at the fitting top end, and held in the immersion tube. The capillary (5) has a spherical thickening at the top, axially clamped in the fitting (2), and is enclosed at its bottom end in a basket-like, bulging sleeve made of longitudinal leaf springs. The central, bulging part of the sleeve rests on the immersion tube inner wall, and its top and bottom on the capillary.</p> |
