The contact are intended for electronic component, or for measuring electric characteristics of semiconductors, or similar components. The current pulse is applied through the electronic component (D) and this produces a stain-shaped metallised region, to which is applied the electric contact. Preferably a metal element (6), connected to a current source (C, Q), is applied to the component. A counter electrode (3) is arranged opposite the metal element on the component side. Then the current is applied for a short period. The electrode (6) may contain a metal wire for producing the metallised region.
