A heat insulating plate has >=1 reinforcing insert e.g. a corrugated metal asbestos cement or glass-fibre reinforced plastic or metal screen profiled sheet, provided on each side with a layer of foam material and with two covering layers. Such a known insulating plate is modified so that the foam layers on >=2 oppositely situated side faces spring back on different sides of the reinforcing insert by the same amt. Device provides a uniformly thick heat insulating layer, requires no additional protection against corrosion or special vapour barrier, has close contact with adjacent insulating plates. The plates can be produced on basically known double transport belt layers.
