PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite magnet powder that has improved coercive force and restrain its residual magnetic flux density from deteriorating, and to provide a magnet at a low cost. SOLUTION: This magnetic powder contains hexagonal magnet plumbite ferrite as a main phase where Sr is partially substituted with La, and Fe is partially substituted with Mn or a composite of Mn and Co. The composition of the magnetic powder is represented by a formula, (1-x)SrO.(x/2)La2 O3 .(n-y/2-y'/2)Fe2 O3 .yMnO2 .y'CoO, wherein (x), (y), (y') and (n) indicate mol ratios respectively, and (x), (y), (y') and (n) are so set as to satisfy formulas, 0.03<=x<=0.30, 0.01<=y<=0.3, 0<=y'<=0.29, and 6.0<n<=6.5. |
