1463321 Laminated films REIFENHAUSER KG 30 July 1974 [10 Aug 1973] 33493/74 Heading B5N A synthetic material bonded film comprises at least two stretched films 1 and 2, each of which has a main direction of stretching 3, the films being united with the main stretching directions crossing each other, each film having slits 5 extending parallel to the main stretching direction and arranged in parallel rows 4 at right angles to the main stretching direction with the slits of one row being staggered in relation to the slits of an adjacent row, at least one film being of shrinkable material and having been shrunk after the films have been united. Thermoplastics films may be bonded by means of pressure and heat, which may include the use of ultrasonic energy, or by means of an adhesive. Bonding may be over the whole surface or at certain points only. The bonded films may be used in the production of sieves, filter cloths, bags for packaging purposes or carpets. The films bonded may be of different materials, colours and thicknesses, may have slits of different lengths and may have different amounts of stretching. |
