The present invention discloses a hybrid translation apparatus capable of selectively using a better translation result. The hybrid translation apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a first translator for performing statistical machine translation (SMT) with respect to an input sentence, and a second translator for performing rule-based machine translation (RBMT); a feature extractor for extracting features which are translation reliability values of a first translated sentence, a second translated sentence, and a translation log of a translation process, by using a language model for the first translated sentence which is a translation result of the input sentence from the first translator, a language model for the second translated sentence which is a translation result of the input sentence from the second translator, and a translation probability; and a classifier generated as a result of pre-learning a translation performance of the first translator and the second translator by using a result of automatically evaluating a performance of the first translation sentence and the second translation sentence by using an answer sentence, and classifying the features to select and output a translation sentence of high reliability from the first and second translation sentences. |
