Centrifuge has a centrifuge drum formed by a number of frusto-conical rings which are cut from a sheet metal frusto-cone and spaced axially by means of annular rings disposed on peripherally spaced bolts, whereby the radial faces of the divergent ends of the rings form the water separating surfaces and the outer peripheries of the divergent ends of the preceding rings terminate medially within the radial faces of the convergent ends of the successive rings such that the inner walls of the successive rings are staggered progressively radially outwardly.
