PURPOSE:To use a desired photosensitive belt by discriminating the presence or absence of a seam on the photosensitive belt and selecting the control for the seam or the control for the seamless according to the result. CONSTITUTION:The device is used by loading a process kit in which an endless photosensitive belt is bent to be laid on two or more rollers, and the position of a detection button 16 is made different based on the presence or absence of the seam on the aforesaid belt in the kit. And in the case of loading a low- priced belt having the seam, the button 16 is detected by a 1st detecting sensor 17 and controlling is performed so as not to write on the same based on the detection. In the case of loading the seamless belt, the button 16 is detected by a 2nd detected sensor 18, and writing is performed on the optional position on the belt, and printing is performed at a high speed. In the case that the button 16 is not detected by either of the sensors 17 and 18, such an error that the kit is not set is detected. |
