PURPOSE:To secure the durability and reliability for a long period by forming an end ferrule of an optical fiber to be a stepped cylinder and soldering and fixing a small diameter part to a holder of a fiber support so as to apply metallic bonding entirely to the bonding. CONSTITUTION:An end ferrule of an optical fiber 5 inserted to a holder 7a of a fiber support 7 is formed to be a stepped cylinder having a large diameter part 6b opposite to a lens and a small diameter part 6a at the side of fiber supply, and the small diameter part 6a of the fiber end ferrule is soldered and fixed to the holder 7a of the fiber support 7. Thus, the metallic bonding is adopted for the bonding between the optical fiber 5 and the fiber support 7 and the bonding between the fiber support 7 and the mount part (such as a cap 4) to ensure durability and reliability for a long period. |
