PURPOSE:To bend easily a edge part of a lid by bending downward he edge part projecting outward by pressing a lid pressing plate against the lid, pushing partly the edge part under a flange of a container by means of a bending disc, and folding the whole edge of the lid part under the flange by rotating the lid pressing plate and the container. CONSTITUTION:A container (r) is adhered and sealed with a cover film, and when it is transferred just under a bending means 10 by a backet (b), the container (r) is pushed up at the lower end by a pushing-up plate 60, so that a flange part (f) comes out of contact with the upper surface of the backet (b). When a supporter 20 is made to come down, a bending mechanism 30, a rotating mechanism 40 and a folding mechanism 50 come down so that a lid pressing plate 44 comes into contact with a lid (c) and presses it down. When the supporter 20 comes further down, a bending member 31 bends a flange part of the lid (c) projecting outward in radial direction from the flange part (f) in the downward direction. A driving shaft 51 rotates to rotate a folding arm 53 so that a folding disc 55 folds an edge part of the lid (c) under the flange part (f). Then a rotary shaft 41 rotates to cause the lid pressing plate 44 and the container (r) to rotate, so that the rest of the flange of the lid (c) which is bent downward is also folded under the flange (f). |
