PURPOSE: To realize the iron core with a small iron loss for an amorphous steel core transformer. CONSTITUTION: The iron cores are composed of overlapped groups of amorphous steel made strips wound up around windows while respective groups having inner parts 142a and outer parts 142b overlapped with one another are composed of multiple thin layers made of amorphous steel strips. On the other hand, on one side ends of respective groups, the edges of all layers extending in the lateral direction of all groups are almost junctioned to form the smooth edges. However, on the other side ends, (1) the edges extending in the lateral direction of the layers in the inner parts are arranged to form an oblique edge 152a of the inner parts, (2) the edges extending in the lateral direction of the layers in the outer parts are arranged to form another oblique edge 152b of the outer parts, and (3), the oblique edges in the outer parts are overlapped with the oblique edges of the inner parts. |
