PURPOSE:To provide a shock absorbing device which is capable of generating innoxious gas in a short time without employing an explosive substance of explosives or the like. CONSTITUTION:There is provided inside of a container a heating unit 5 which is composed of a plurality of metal films 6-11, and the water 12 is stored thereover. Steam is generated by melting the metal films sequentially from the upper side due to current application, thereby heating the water. |
