PURPOSE: A method is provided to harden the surface of an aluminium alloy using vibration impact for an excellent surface hardness and abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION: A vibration motor(1) generates a rotating force and the force is delivered to a shaft(3) through a belt(2). The rotating force drives a shaft(6) through a uniform velocity jointer(4). The shaft(6) vibrates by itself according to the rotation with an unsymmetrical bob(5) and vibrates a container(9) via a spring(7). The uniform velocity jointer prevents the shaft(6) from delivering the vibration to the shaft(4). A ceramic lump, a brightener and water are mixed in the container and an aluminium alloyed component is charged in the mixture. Due to the vibration effect, a ceramic lump is pulverized and 5 to 100 micrometer of fine ceramic particles are stuck in the surface of the alloyed component to be a reinforcement layer.
