PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent suitable for adsorbing/removing low-concentration nitrogen oxides, methods of manufacturing and regenerating the adsorbent and a method of efficiently cleaning a gas containing low-concentration nitrogen oxides.

SOLUTION: This adsorbent contains at least one element selected from among tin, antimony and bismuth. The adsorbent in particular which contains tin and/or antimony and copper and/or cobalt or furthermore an alkali metallic element and in which an alloy is formed from at least a part of the tin and/or antimony and at least a part of the copper and/or cobalt exhibits excellent adsorptivity.
