<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy a demand on regulation and to issue a visual warning related to a near-miss using LED (light emission diode) light to a driver. <P>SOLUTION: This near-miss warning display device 123 is fixed to a rear package tray 120 at the back of a rear seat in a vehicle and disposed on the front face of a support section 121. The light emitting position of an LED is gradually moved to one end side from the other end in response to the distance between the vehicle and an object, and a distance perspective to the object is incrementally reported to the driver. The driver can recognize the reported result simultaneously with back recognition through a rear view mirror easily and certainly, and can perform driving operation such as obstacle avoidance, and can more smoothly perform parking operation and pulling over operation. Further, a visual warning related to the near-miss can be issued to the driver with the LED light, and the distance perspective to the object such as an obstacle can be reported to the driver further clearly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
