A mobile terminal having an external memory card slot is provided to increase the mounting efficiency of a socket for a PCB(Printed Circuit Board), and to naturally hide the slot by a battery pack even without separately comprising a cap for shielding the slot. A terminal body has a PCB(30). A battery pack(22) is detachably combined with the terminal body. A predetermined external memory card(31) is inserted into a slot(32), and the slot(32) is disposed on one certain side of the terminal body hidden by the battery pack(22). A socket(33) is mounted on the PCB(30), and is combined with the external memory card(31) inserted into the slot(32). The terminal body consists of a body unit composed of a front case and a rear case(26) which are assembled/disassembled together, and a folder unit having a predetermined LCD(Liquid Crystal Display).
