PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrel of a writing utensil in which a recessed diameter reduced portion having the outer diameter reduced is provided in a part of the barrel of the writing utensil to allow an outer barrel to be fitted to the diameter reducing portion, eliminating problems such as rotation of the outer barrel or looseness occurred in the radial direction and the longitudinal direction or space with regard to a point member due to the shrinkage with time of the outer barrel in long-period use, even if the writing utensil has a structure grasping between a rear step part of the diameter reduced portion and the rear end face of the tapered point member arranged at the tip end of the barrel. SOLUTION: In the decorative structure, a decorative body is arranged on a base material, and grasped and secured with a grasping means provided to the base material.
