PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate post that does not scratch an outer surface coating of a panel fence and may be installed in a small space.SOLUTION: A gate post body 1 includes a first square column 10 on which a hanging metal fitting 60 for a gate door D is fitted, a second square column 20 on a side continued from a panel fence PW, and a connecting member 40 connecting the first square column 10 with the second square column 20 adjacently and in parallel with each other, along with an outer panel 50 bonded on both front and rear surfaces of the gate post body 1, and an exterior finishing coat or a tile provided on a surface of the outer panel 50. The connecting member 40 includes two stile materials 41, 42 on right and left, and two rail materials 43, 44 on top and bottom connecting top edges and bottom edges of the two stile materials 41, 42. The two stile materials 41, 42 are fitted on a side wall of the first square column 10 and a side wall of the second square column 20. The gate post body 1 is of a frame structure, and is highly rigid. As such, no crack would develop in the exterior finishing coat or the tile on the outer panel surface, even when external force generated due to opening/closing of the gate door D is exerted on the panel fence PW.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
