A plate of Fe or its alloys or of Cu, Zn, Sn, Cr, ti etc is coated on one or both faces with a woven polyester fibre impregnated with carbon black to achieve a reduction in reflectivity of approx 50% at centimetric radar wavelengths. Instead of polyester, polyamide, polyacrylic nitrile polypropylene or other synthetic fibres may be used and the material instead of woven, may be a weft, a fleece etc. The textile element may be dispensed with completely. |
