PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a device, to accelerate an image forming speed and to prevent misoperation from being executed by providing an optimum image forming speed and a rapid image forming speed which is higher than the optimum image forming speed, individually displaying them on a magnification display means with the aid of two or more different luminescent colors and switching the luminescent color with respect to the light emission according to the image forming speed. CONSTITUTION:An exposure and scanning part is provided with plural scanning speeds corresponding to the optimum image forming speed and the rapid image forming speed which is higher than the optimum image forming speed. A high-speed mode selecting key 66 which indicates the high-speed switching of the image forming speed and the magnification display means 68 are fitted to a control panel. A switching circuit 84 which switches the light emission of the display means 68 displays the speed by the light emission mode of a blue color in the case of low-speed driving (the optimum image forming speed) and displays it by the light emission mode of a red color in the case of high-speed driving. Therefore, the rapid image forming speed can be selected within the allowable range of the quality of the image forming and an operator can easily recognize the set image forming speed. Thus, the cost of the device is reduced and processing ability is improved. Besides misset is prevented from occurring. |
