1440845 Fungicidal dispersions HOECHST AG 29 Oct 1974 [31 Oct 1973] 46753/74 Heading A5E A fungicidal dispersion comprises (by weight) from 5 to 30% of 2-benzmidazole methyl carbamate of formula from 60 to 85% of a liquid ester of a C1-C2 monoalcohol and a C2-C10 carboxylic acid the ester containing at least 8 carbon atoms and a maximum of 12 carbon atoms if derived from a monobasic acid and 32 carbon atoms if derived from a dibasie acid, from 2 to 10% of a mixture of a monoalkyl phenol polyglycol other in which the alkyl group has 8 to 12 carbon atoms and castor oil polyglycol ether, and 0.1 to 5% of calcium monoalkyl benzene sulphonate, the alkyl group having 8 to 15 carbon atoms. The ester is preferably an ester of phthalic acid with a C1-C12 aliphatic or alicyclic alcohol. Suitable monoalkylphenol polyglycol ethers are those having 8 or 9 carbon atoms in the alkyl group and 5 to 14 ethylene oxide units. The dispersions may be obtained by grinding the starting material in ball mills by means of quartz pearls. |
