PURPOSE:To add the effects of the characteristics due to mixed powder without deteriorating the characteristics of a plating metal itself by mixing dissimilar powder with a molten metal to be sprayed. CONSTITUTION:The inside of the system of equipment 10 is regulated, e.g., to an inert gas atmosphere. A strip-like metal S is introduced into a plating chamber 3, and a powder-mixed molten metal MP is sprayed from both sides of the strip S by means of spray nozzles 5 accompanied by a gas through gas pipes 4 for atomization. The above powder-mixed molten metal MP is obtained by blending a powder P from powder vessels 7 having powder throw-in regulation valves 6 with a molten metal M in molten metal vessels 8 and mixing them uniformly by means of agitating devices 9. As the powder P mixed into the molten metal M to be sprayed, metal powder, metal oxide, metal nitride, metal carbide, metal boride, etc., having relatively high melting points can be applied. By this method, the amount of dispersion of the powder in the plated layer can be arbitrarily selected, and the resulting plated sheet can immediately meet the characteristics required of a plated sheet. |
