PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device capable of properly setting the conditions of a main body, in accordance with variation and improvement in unitized supplies. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an image forming unit 1 which incorporates a developer 7 and a developing device 5 and is attachable to/ detachable from the device main body and the image forming unit is timely exchanged for a new one and used. Further, the device is provided with a means for displaying a main body side parameter P to be changed according to the physical properties of the developer 7 incorporated in the image forming unit 1, on the outside of the nits (for instance, display with a number, a mark, a bar code, etc., on the side surface, etc., of the unit), a means (a control panel 19, an optical reader, etc.), for inputting information corresponding to the display to the main body and a means (a system controller 18) for setting the conditions of the main body side, based on the inputted information. Thus, even if the improvement and variation occur in the supplies of the image forming unit, the information is inputted to the main body to set the optimum conditions. |
