<p>PURPOSE:To reduce nip pressure at the time of feeding specific sheets by reducing the energizing force of a spring for pressing and energizing a double-feed preventing means to a feed roller by a second spring, and increasing the energizing force of the second spring by the insertion of a specific sheet cassette. CONSTITUTION:A feed cassette installing part 4 has a bracket 21, to which the middle part of a crank arm 22 and the bent part of a L-shaped operating member 23 are rotatably fitted through horizontal shafts 24, 25. On the upper end side of the arm 22, a friction pad 26 is mounted, and a spring 27 for pressing and energizing the pad 26 to a feed roller 5 is attached to the lower side of the arm 22. A second spring 29 for giving the pad 26 the energizing force in the direction for reducing the energizing force of the spring 27 is mounted between the arm 22 and the operation member 23. When a cassette 2 in which specific sheets having a high frictional coefficient are received is inserted, the operation member 23 is rotated by its pressing part b to enhance the energizing force of the spring 29, and the energizing force of the friction pad 26 is reduced to reduce the nip pressure.</p> |
