PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of an organic EL light source by restraining temperature increase of the organic EL element which is a constituent of an organic EL light source having light emitting area two dimensionally spreading. SOLUTION: A light emitting area A (11A) of a plurality of the first organic EL elements and a light emitting area B (11B) of a plurality of the second organic EL elements are arranged alternately on a base plate 10, and the area A and the area B emit light alternately with the flicker frequency not perceptible by human eyes.
