The modular constructional framework is for shelves (6) in a building. It has height-adjustable tubular uprights (1) standing in gaps between shelf modules. The shelf supports consist of nodal points (4) with central through bores accommodating the uprights. Four equispaced threaded lateral bores accommodate threaded sideways-extending arms (5). Rubber suction pads at the ends of the arms engage the undersides of the shelf units. The uprights extend from the floor (2) to the ceiling (3) of the room. Different nodal points (7) can carry different storage items e.g. cupboards (8).
