Electrical lighting system using LED chain with electronic elements to control current to identify failed LED

The lighting system uses a chain of light emitting diodes, LED, [1] each of which is connected to a Zener diode [2] and a resistor [3]. In the case when an LED fails the current and intensity of the remaining diodes changes such the failed LED is readily identified and can be changed.
