A food information monitoring method and system are provided to determine the harmfulness of food according to the health condition of a user and notify the user of the determination result, thereby selecting food suitable for the health condition of the user and improving the eating patterns of the user. Food information recognized from media adhered to food is read out(S13). The harmfulness of the food is determined on the basis of the read food information and user living body information previously measured(S19~S21). The read food information, the user living body information, and the result determining the harmfulness of the food are transmitted(S22).
