<p>PURPOSE:To improve the resolution of a picture by selecting a 2-dimension filter when a movement quantity of a picture between frames is a prescribed threshold level or over and selecting a cyclic 3-dimension filter when the movement quantity of the picture between frames is a prescribed threshold level or below. CONSTITUTION:When the relation of (inter-frame movement quantity DELTAF< threshold level T2) is discriminated, a selector switch 285 selects an output of a 3-dimension filter 26. When the relation of (inter-frame movement quantity DELTAF>= threshold level T2) is discriminated, the selector switch 285 selects an output of a 2-dimension filter 20, and when the presence of an edge is discriminated by a comparator 258, 3-picture elements are added in the edge detection direction identified by a maximum detector 251. As a result, an output averaging the 3-picture elements in the edge detection direction is sent and noise is made unremarkable and no fog is caused.</p> |
