PURPOSE:To reduce processing time in the case of including an unregistered word by providing a stopper for 'TOUTEN' (comma in Japanese language), 'KAISI KAKKO' (opening parenthesis in Japanese language) and 'KAKUJOSI' (postpositional particle indicating case in Japanese language). CONSTITUTION:A stopper providing means 11 in a first group provides a stopper for a member such as 'TOUTEN' and 'KAISI KAKKO' and a stopper providing means 12 in a second group provides a stopper for 'KAKUJOSI'. When a sentence 'KARE-NO SHUSSHIN-WA, OKAYAMA DESU' (a Japanese sentence having a meaning of ' He was raised in Okayama.') encoded into code signals is inputted in a processing part 10, a dictionary is referred to for checking whether an applicable word(s) is (are) registered in the dictionary, and when it is not registered, the last word is deleted, and the same processing is repeated until the applicable word(s) registered in the dictionary is (are) found. When the processing advances to the point where 'KARE-NO SHUSSHIN-HA,' is treated as an applicable word and when the 'TOUTEN' (,) is added to the former words, since this 'TOUTEN' belongs to the first group, the words processed up to this point are saved. Then the processing proceeds with the word 'OKA' and when the word 'YAMA' is an unregistered word, the applicable words are deleted by one word and the processing proceeds with the point after the stopper again. Thus, the processing time can be prevented from increasing and the stable processing can be obtained. |
