PURPOSE:To obtain the subject mixture suitable for a refrigerant or propellant for spraying having non-combustible or fire retardant properties without fear of ozone layer destruction by mixing 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane and 1,1- difluoroethane in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:(A) 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane (R-134) is mixed with (B) <=30mol% (preferably 1-18 mol%) 1,1-difluoroethane (R-152a) to afford the objective mixture. Raw materials of said mixture are readily available in low costs and practical having excellent coefficient of performance.
