PURPOSE:To improve taste of food so as to use a foul breath preventing component and/or tooth decay preventing component in an amount to sufficiently show functions thereof by using aspartame as a sweetener of a sweetness food containing the foul breath preventing component and/or tooth decay preventing component. CONSTITUTION:This sweetness composition contains alpha-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester (hereinafter abbreviated as aspartame) and a foul breath preventing component and/or tooth decay preventing component. A plant of the family Labiate, mace, marine alga and a solvent extract of these substances are used as the foul breath preventing component. Dextrase or mutanase is used as the tooth decay preventing component. The sweetness composition as a component is added to a sweetness food such as candy, oleaster candy or troche and an oral cavity composition such as mouthwash. |
