PURPOSE:To obtain anisotropic R-Fe-B magnetic powder by crushing coarse particles obtained by upsetting at a specific temperature in an inert atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:After a liquid-quenched thin belt is produced from a mother alloy, the composition of which is adjusted to Fe, Nd, Co:Pr:B, with a replaceable single roll device in an Ar atmosphere, the compacted body of the thin film is made to make plastic flow by hot setting so as to produce coarse particles having an anisotropic property. Then the coarse particles thus obtained are crushed down to a particle size of about or smaller than 500mum with a jaw crusher at 500-1,000 deg.C in an Ar atmosphere. Thus an Nd-Fe-B anisotropic magnetic powder is obtained. |
