PURPOSE:To enable varying of an angle of irradiation of a laser light from an outgoing end of a fiber to the optimum angle to condition of a lesion part by a method wherein the luminal lesion part is diagnosed by an ultrasonic wave to control an angle of incidence of the laser light to an optical fiber incoming end by ultrasonic image information visualized as tomographic image. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic vibrator 7 at the tip of a probe 1 is driven to obtain image information pertaining to a section structure of a lumen A and ultrasonic image information of a monitor means 11 is sent to a controller 14. When a laser oscillator 5 is moved sliding with a driver 13 at the right angle to an optical axis as indicated by the fourth solid line by a signal from the controller 14, a laser light B emitted from the laser oscillator 5 is emitted as a laser beam b1 with a wider irradiation angle at an optical fiber outgoing end 3b. When the oscillator 5 is moved sliding as indicated by the dotted line in the Fig. 4, the laser light B is emitted as a laser beam b2 with a narrower irradiation angle at an outgoing end 3b. This enables varying of the angle of irradiation of the laser light B to the optimum angle to condition of luminal lesion parts a1 and a2. |
