PURPOSE:To maintain the electrode operating performance for a long period of time in practical use by using class-4 ammonium salt to an ion exchanger, and introducing F atoms to an organic radical which tends to form a bond with N atoms. CONSTITUTION:An electrode cylinder 1 is filled with an internal solution 2, and therein an internal electrode 3 is immersed. An ion sensitive film 4 is fixed to the end of the electrode cylinder 1. When class-4 ammonium salt is used as an ion sensitive substance for this electrode, elusion of ion sensitive substance from this sensitive film 4 is decreased which otherwise results in inferiority in the long-term stability to a certain degree, and therefore, fat solubility of ammonium salt shall be increased. Therefore, self-machine radicals (H atom) X, Y, Z, U forming a bond with the sensitive film 4 having alkyl chain are substituted with F atoms having a large atomic radius. Accordingly increasing the volume of class-4 ammonium salt molecles themselves will be hydrophibic, to cause increase in the fat solubility, and elusion of the ion sensitive substance from the sensitive film 4 will lower. Thus long-term stability of the electrode operating performance is obtained. |
