The method involves feeding each cartridge (M) from an external magazine into the body of a weapon along a curved path in a plane perpendicular to the length of the cartridge via a fixed guide element (20) and one of two rotatable delivery elements (10,30). The cartridge is fed along a spiral path within the weapon by a rotatable loading star shaft (5), a cartridge slider (22) and the fixed guide element(s) to the firing point (4). An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for delivering munitions cartridges.
