PURPOSE: To obtain an insecticide for Telmatoscopus albipunctatus, containing a cultured product of a separated new strain of Bacillus thuringiensis as an active ingredient and useful in exterminating the Telmatoscopus albipunctatus. CONSTITUTION: This new strain 88-KO-14-45 (FERM P-14496) of Bacillus thuringiensis has specific insecticidal activities against Telmatoscopus albipunctatus. Furthermore, an insecticide for the Telmatoscopus albipunctatus contains a cultured product of the separated new strain 88-KO-14-45 (FERM P-14496) of the Bacillus thuringiensis as an active ingredient at a concentration of about 1×10<8> to 10<10> spores/ml expressed in terms of spore concentration. The spore which is the active ingredient or a crystalline toxic protein produced by the spare is capable of manifesting specific strong insecticidal activities against larvae of the Telmatoscopus albipunctatus. |
