PURPOSE: A linked overload control method in an asynchronous radio network control system is provided so that an RNC(Radio Network Controller) and a CN(Core Network) can work together through an overload message and execute an efficient overload control. CONSTITUTION: An RNC application part(212) in an RNC(21) decodes a message transmitted from a RAN application part(221) in a CN(22) and transfers it to an RNC call control part(211). The RNC call control part(211) executes an overall state management function in the RNC(21), including an overload control function. If an overload message is received to the RNC application part(212) from the CN(22), the RNC application part(212) confirms whether a timer TigOR is being driven. Then the RNC application part(212) informs a state management part(213) that the overload message has been received through the CN(22). At this moment, the state management part(213) activates two timers TigOR and TinTR.
