摘要 An optical transceiver and a method for controlling optical output jitter by using the optical transceiver are provided to add an EQ filter of an active type or a passive type and a circuit for controlling the EQ filter to a transmission unit to compensate the high frequency components caused by the reflection and loss of a signal on a PCB(Printed Circuit Board), thereby reducing deterministic optical output jitter generated by ISI(Inter-Symbol Interference). A transmission unit(100) has an EQ(Equalizing) filter(180) for reducing the optical output jitter of a high-speed electric signal. A filter control circuit controls the EQ filter. A reception unit(200) receives an optical signal. A micro controller(300) controls the transmission unit and the reception unit. When an optical transceiver is an XFP(10Gigabit/second small form-factor pluggable) transceiver, the transmission unit includes a CDR(Clock and Data Recovery), an LD(Laser Diode) driver, and a TOSA(Transmitter Optical Sub-Assembly). The EQ filter is connected between the CDR and the LD driver. When the optical transceiver is a 300pin MSA(Multi-Source Agreement) transceiver. The transmission unit includes a serializer, an LD driver, and an LD module. The EQ filter is connected between the serializer and the LD driver.
