PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backing sheet for wallpaper which does not fuzz, does not cause stains of a drier in a papermaking or drying process, is excellent in dimensional stability when applying the wallpaper, and is excellent in peeling suitability when peeling the wallpaper from a wall surface.SOLUTION: A backing sheet for wallpaper comprises a sheet substrate containing a fiber comprising at least a pulp fiber and synthetic fiber. The sheet substrate contains a polyester fiber having a core-sheath structure in which the melting point of a core part is 200°C or higher and that of a sheath part is 150°C or higher as the synthetic fiber at the rate of 5-30 mass% in the solid content of the whole fiber. Besides, a coating layer containing a water-soluble resin and/or a water-dispersible resin is provided on at least one surface of the sheet substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
