Apparatus for removing dust &c. from the horizontal filter 4 of a travelling blower apparatus 3 used on a textile machine, e.g. a ring spinning machine, comprises a stationary suction duct 7 of one end of the machine, connecting with a cylindrical suction head 8 having a longitudinal slot 11 having a closure member 10 pivoted about the axis 9 of the cylinder. As the blower 3 passes under head 8, the blower housing co-operates with a ring 12 on member 10 to open the slot. The filter 4 is then cleaned by suction from head 8. After the blower has passed the head 8, member 10 falls by gravity to close slot 11. |
