PURPOSE:To perform arm locking, by providing a member positioning an arm engaged to the pickup arm carried to the reproduction standby position and turning the arm to the releasing position in interlocking with the insertion of a jacket and to the standby position in interlocking with the drowing out. CONSTITUTION:A positioning lever 42 is provided freely turnably at the inside of a player main body 17. The lever 42 is energized with a coil spring 44 counterclockwise at all times. When the lever 42 is turned to be energized by a spring 44, the arm 12 is positioned and fixed to the reproducing standby position A by engaging the lever 42 to a pickup arm 12. When the jacket 15 containing a video disc 14 is inserted the lever 42 is pressed with a spine 30 and turned clockwise. Thus, the locking of the arm 12 is released and this state is maintained even after the jacket 15 is draw out. When the reproduction is finished, since the spine 30 is contained in the jacket 15 and extracted, the lever 42 is released for the regulation of position, and engaged to the arm 12 carried to the position A for positioning and fixing. |
