PURPOSE:To enable the title construction to be used for automatic assembly of a printer and inexpensively assemble the printer with a simple construction, by a construction wherein one of terminals to be connected to each other is made to be elastic or an elastic member is placed on the one terminal, and the terminals are pressed against each other by utilizing the elasticity. CONSTITUTION:One of terminals to be connected to each other, e.g., those of a control substrate 1 and an intermediate substrate 2, those of the substrate 2 and a flexible cable 4, those of the cable 4 and a carriage substrate 7, those of the substrate 7 and a printing head 8, or those of a paper-feeding motor 9 and the substrate 3, is made to be elastic (connecting parts 1a, 8a, 9a) or the elastic member 5 is placed on one of the mated terminals, and the mated terminals are pressed against each other with an appropriate force by utilizing the elasticity. For connection of solid component parts such as the control substrate 1 and the intermediate substrate 2 to each other, a springy and conductive terminal 10 is used. Where one of the component parts is a flexible one such as the flexible cable 4, an elastic member 5 such as a rubber piece is placed thereon, and a pressure is exerted thereon. |
