<p>PURPOSE:To purify waste water containing an organohalogen compound by mounting a reaction apparatus for the aeration treatment of waste water and the irradiation of said waste water with ultraviolet rays, an ultraviolet ray irradiation treatment apparatus for irradiating the first exhaust gas discharged from said reaction apparatus and an alkali washing apparatus for treating the second exhaust gas discharged from the ultraviolet rays irradiation treatment apparatus with alkali. CONSTITUTION:The waste water 1 subjected to aeration treatment and ultraviolet irradiation treatment is discharged as treated water 6 while untreated gas containing trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene in a reaction apparatus 2 is sent to an ultraviolet ray irradiation treatment apparatus 8 to be irradiated with ultraviolet rays. As a result, exhaust gas 7 becomes acidic decomposed gas 9 such as decomposed hydrogen chloride and this decomposed gas 9 is subsequently sent to an alkali washing apparatus 10 and washed with alkali to he made harmless to be discharged as treated gas. The concn. of trichloroethylene can be reduced to 0.01mg/l or less and no generated gas is discharged to the atmosphere.</p> |
