摘要 Mineral, hardenable foam structure (mineral foams) and components, mouldings and position foams produced from it are claimed. It is produced by reacting oxides of Si, Ca, al or Mg with aq. solns. of alkali silicates, opt. with addn. of inert fillers, propellant and additives. The foam system contains 2-70% oxides, which ppte. as main or by-products from high temp. melting and sintering processes, and which can be present as material mixt., and aq. solns. of alkali silicates, the so-called water glasses. Prodn. of the foam system is also claimed. The alkali silicate is added to the material mixt., with alkali hydroxides added to the material mixt. to adjust the ratio Me2O:SiO2. The dry mixt. is then mixed with pure water to mfr. a processable compsn. USE - As building material, insulating material and components. In an example, 100 pts. of a material mixt. contg. 37.86% ground slag (contg. 36.50% SiO2), 42% CaO, 12% Al2O3, and 7.5% MgO, Blaine value 4300, 2-23% CaOH, 4.45% sillitine Z86, 4.45% ground basalt, 0.11% Al powder, 0.67% Na percarbonate and 0.11% K permanganate were mixed with 13.36% foamed glass granules of grain size 1-2mm and 39.98% aq.alkali silicate soln. of mol ratio of 1.48 and contg. 25.6% SiO2, and poured into a mould. After 1 min, the mass started to foam. After 20 mins. foaming ceased, light fillers added and the moulding produced hardened, which was resistant to temps. up to 1000 deg.
