PURPOSE:To provide a movable connector suitable for automatic assembly, in which a force is applied when it is fitted in/on and removed from the mating connector member and whose housing and/or contact is free of breakage or degradation in performance. CONSTITUTION:A movable connector 10 includes No.1 housing 20 approx. in frame form, which is mounted fast on a base board, and No.2 housing 30 to be inserted in the opening 24 in the No.1 housing 20 with a certain clearance reserved. A number of contacts 40 are inserted and held between the contact receptacle cavity 33 of No.2 housing 30 and the No.1 housing 20. Each contact 40 is formed approx. in flat plate including a touching part 41, solder connection part 42, and distortion absorbing part 43. The last named part 43 has a plurality of approx. U-form bent parts in the vertical and horizontal directions preferably. |
