PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an air cushion is provided to easily conduct a folding process of the air cushion that is opened sequentially by bursting with gas pressure. CONSTITUTION: An air cushion is temporarily sewed the opening unit with a bursting device to easily fold. The air cushion induces a sequential opening by adjusting the thickness of a sewing thread and the interval of sewing. The air cushion contains a fixing end(22) fixed in the housing of a dashboard by a fixing hole(24), an opening end(26) having many bending units and expanded by gas pressure from a gas generator, and a bursting device expanding the bending units in a certain direction, bursting when the air bag is opened.
