PURPOSE: A method of making a non-tack gum base by treating an arrowroot(Pueraria Radix) with a roller, extracting with dried slices of young pumpkin and malt powder and then agitating with Helianthus tuberosus tubers is provided. The gum is less cohesive than conventional gum, contains maltose without artificial sweeteners and does not stick to the ground or floor. CONSTITUTION: An arrowroot is cut to a size of 4cm long and 1cm thick, dried and passed though a roller, followed by rubbing with a metal brush to separate fiber and starch. Unlike the arrowroot, 30% by weight of dried slices of young pumpkin is fermented with a fermented product of malt powder, which is mixed with the fiber and starch separated from the arrow, extracted for 5 to 6hr under mild temperature conditions while agitating with flavors, pigments and the like and then added with 30% by weight of Helianthus tuberosus tubers to give a gum base.
