PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a configuration in a sewing machine including an operation part for speed adjustment and for pattern selection.SOLUTION: With regard to the rotary operation of a rotary dial 19 and the display of a liquid crystal display 18, a control circuit 22 switches between a first state in which the designation of a sewing speed in a sewing mechanism can be accepted and a second state in which the designation of a sewing pattern to be sewn by the sewing mechanism can be accepted. In the first state, when the rotary operation of the rotary dial 19 is accepted, the sewing speed is set according to the operation. In the second state, when the rotary operation of the rotary dial 19 is accepted, the sewing pattern is set according to the operation. When a switching key 20 is operated, the control circuit 22 switches between the first state and the second state. The control circuit 22 sets the state to the first state, provided that an instruction to start sewing is given.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
