CATALYST FOR DECOMPOSING METHYL BROMIDE AND TREATMENT OF EXHAUST GAS CONTAINING METHYL BROMIDE

PURPOSE:To obtain both a method for treating exhaust gas containing methyl bromide which is easy in operation and capable of being utilized not only as a large-sized equipment for treatment of large amount but also as a miniature equipment for treatment of small amount and a catalyst for decomposing methyl bromide used therefor. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst for decomposing methyl bromide is obtained by incorporating a catalyst molding which is formed of theta-alumina or formed by carrying transition metal on theta-alumina. Further exhaust gas containing methyl bromide is treated by using this catalyst.
